Singing during Worship

This video is of a group of guys that performed during worship this past Sunday. They were pretty good!

Days 11 and 12 - Worship and Sand

Where we worshiped on Sundays

Tony preaching on Joshua 9

We visited a preaching school after worship. They take in 12 students every three years.

The dinning hall and kitchen

the dorms

Hanging out at the preaching school

All the trees on the campus are less than 20 years old, they're huge

The kids look after the younger ones

Taking out the fence to make room for the basketball court

Diggin up fence posts

Kids are always willing to help

We are making six benches to give to the church in Terrier Rouge

putting legs together

Cutting off long bolts

putting sand on top of our 12 loads of rock

 Opa helping out

The canal is finished. Water is flowing nicely

The kids' kites fly so high!

Wenchie testing out the sand

Aubrey and her little shovel

This is all she does. . .  not really though.

Lousina with short hair and glitter

One load of sand was a lot easier to spread than one load of rock!

Jerome's son Caleb. Looks just like him!

Days 8-10 - Beach, Rock, and Shopping

Sorry I have not posted anything the last couple of days. We have been very busy for the most part. As part of a reward for the kids that help us work, we take them to the beach. These first several pictures are us heading to the beach. I do not have pictures of us having fun at the beach, but I will post them, soon.

We did do some more work on the plumbing. We sent the water and other liquids from the visitors dorm to the right into the septic tank.
This is some awesome cement work to fix the part of the canal that crosses the road.

Over 10 loads of rock have been spread so far during this trip.

Hanging out on the roof after dinner one night.

Some of the kids like to hang out in the wheel barrow.

We went shopping on Saturday to buy supplies to build benches for the church in Terrier Rouge. Below is the lumber that we purchased. It took us 6 hours to go to 4 stores to buy the wood, and other supplies needed to finish running wire out to the future basketball court.
Wenchie likes to hang out in old tires.

Day 7 - 4th of July in Haiti

We had to dig a bigger and deeper hole for drainage of the showers

It still got bigger than this

Filled in with rock instead of dirt

Couple of the boys helping move cement

Making the drainage canal taller

A lot more rock spread in the front lot. 8 total loads spread by hand on the complex

The kids wanted to keep moving rock even when we didn't

Our excitement for the day was testing out the new giant spot light to light up the playground and basketball court area. The picture does not do it justice, it is super bright. Almost like daylight, but with lots more shadows. The light works and will be mounted higher, but at a later time during our trip.

It was our Haitian firework for the 4th!! :) The picture is still dark even though the light is super bright.
I hope everyone in the states is enjoying life as much as I am down here. America has great freedoms. But down here I am free from time. I am not on the clock here. If it is light we can work, if it is hot, we can take a break. I love being down here and helping these kids out. This next week is going to fly by way too fast though. Thanks again for all of those who supported me to be able to make this trip! Thank you to all of you who are praying for all of the work going on down here. God is doing some amazing things. I hope the pictures that I post do justice to how awesome God is.
